1)Get plenty of good rest the night before a photo shoot. Poor sleep can be
perceived by the camera.
-
2)
Unless discussed with your photographer in advance, do not have your hair
cut or newly styled within a week of your photo shoot.
-
Many people have been
disappointed and stressed over a bad haircut performed the day before a shoot.
-
3) Do not dye or color your hair within 72 hours before your photo shoot.
-
The color will not have time to appropriately settle, and the skin around your
hairline may be irritated or pick up some of the pigment from the coloring.
-
4)
Do not try to put on a last minute tan before your photo shoot.
-
Your skin
should have at least 2 to 3 days Without UV rays before being
photographed.
-
5)
Be careful not to get too much sun in the days preceding your shoot.
-
You
don’t want to have red cheeks and a pealing nose in your photos!
-
6)While I do not subscribe to the “starving
model” ideals, realize that ingesting food or large quantities of drink prior to
a shoot may “add weight” to your photos in any shots taken lower than mid-chest.
-
You will be happier with your pictures if you
eat smaller meals the day of and/or before your shoot if your figure is going to
be a focal point during your session.
-
7)
Closely scrutinize your makeup choices at least a week before the shoot.
-
If there is one time that you want to have lipstick and mascara that are smooth
and not clumpy or sloppy, it’s when you’re having your picture taken. The camera
captures EVERYTHING!
-
8)
Drink lots of water during the week before your
shoot.
-
It’s good for your body, good for your
health, and helps hydrate and moisturize your skin naturally.
